Concrete Performance Research | Civil and Construction
Concrete Performance Research. Research at the Infrastructure Materials Lab focuses on concrete durability, early-age properties of concrete and the pursuit of high-performance civil engineering materials. Concrete, the most widely used building material in the world, is a sustainable material when properly designed and constructed.
Applications of High-Performance Concrete in Civil
High-Performance Concrete Applications in Civil Engineering Constructions. 1. High Rise Structures. The use of high-performance concrete in the construction of bridge structures provides several structural improvements.
Composite Use of High Strength Steel and Concrete
Construction in civil engineering by its very nature is a major contributor to the use of natural resources. With growing concerns over the environmental issues related to the exploitation and consumption of such resources, there is a great pressure on the construction industry to reduce their negative environmental impact. Catering for these concerns, sustainable construction has been

High Performance Concrete | Concrete Civil Engineering
Sep 18, · High performance concrete is a concrete in which certain characteristics are developed for a particular application and environment, so that it will give excellent performance in the structure in which it will be placed. A high-strength concrete is always a high performance concrete, but a high-performance concrete is not always a high-strength

High-Performance Concrete - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Nov 01, · High-performance concrete may be defined as concrete with strength and durability significantly beyond those obtained by normal means. The required properties for concrete to be classified as high performance therefore depend on the properties of normal concrete achievable at a particular time and location.
Multiple Regression Model for Compressive Strength
A mathematical model for the prediction of compressive strength of high performance concrete was performed using statistical analysis for the concrete data obtained from experimental work done in this study. The multiple non-linear regression model yielded excellent correlation coefficient for the prediction of compressive strength at different ages (3, 7, 14, 28 and 91 days).
